Aluminum Auto Body Repairs

Aluminum has been used for a long time; longer than most even realize.  Many don’t know how difficult and labor intensive aluminum is to repair.

So you ask why automakers such as Ford, Toyota, Tesla, BMW, Benz, Nissan, Porsche, etc., use it.  The answers are as follows:

1. Lighter weight
2. Aerodynamics
3. Gas mileage

This is great but makes for very specialized repair work.  Allston Collision Center has:

There was a time when it would’ve been impossible to repair any damage that included the above products.  That time has passed. Allston Collision Center is equipped to handle all aluminum and steel products.

1. The MultiTool station allows us to 
   – Weld studs onto aluminum for dent repairing
   – Straighten aluminum

Aluminum has no memory which made it nearly impossible to straighten without the MultiTool station.

Excessive heat was also an issue and the MultiTool stations allows for low heat repair work.
